Dr. Supathorn (Supy) Phongikaroon is a Professor of Nuclear Engineering at the University of Utah, where he serves as the Director of the Utah Nuclear Engineering Program and holds the EnergySolutions Presidential Endowed Chair. With a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maryland, his expertise spans molten salt radiochemistry, pyroprocessing, and laser spectroscopy. Previously the program director at Virginia Commonwealth University, Dr. Phongikaroon has held key roles at the University of Idaho and Idaho National Laboratory. Today, he leads advancements in nuclear fuel separation and safeguards while championing nuclear talents and innovative curriculum design for the next generation of engineers.
