About me
Braiden Garner is a Product Development Engineer at Torus, where he has led product
marketing for the residential and commercial energy storage platform since March 2025.
His work bridges the gap between deep technical systems and the customers who deploy
them, translating battery architecture, mechanical storage, power electronics, and energy
management software into positioning that resonates with installers, utilities, and end
users.
Before Torus, Braiden was at Lion Energy, joining as an Energy Storage Engineer in early
2022 and progressing into an ESS Product Manager role. In that time he worked across the
full stack of stationary energy storage — cell selection and pack design, BMS integration,
inverter and hybrid system compatibility, thermal and safety considerations, and the
certification and field-deployment realities that determine whether a spec sheet actually
survives contact with a jobsite. As product manager for Lion's ESS line, he owned
requirements definition, cross-functional coordination between hardware, firmware, and
operations, and the roadmap decisions that shaped the company's residential and
light-commercial offerings.
The throughline is hands-on energy systems expertise paired with the product instincts of
someone who has shipped real hardware — an engineer's depth of understanding applied
to the commercial side of BESS and FESS technology.
